Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Yuan Ting Jing and TED Optimus Sdn Bhd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handle information in connection with the mobile application Rapport — Namecard Scanner (“Rapport” or “the App”), published on Google Play by Yuan Ting Jing under TED Optimus Sdn Bhd. By using Rapport, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Data We Collect

Rapport — Namecard Scanner uses your device camera solely to photograph business cards. The App extracts contact information (name, job title, company, email address, phone number) from the captured image using on-device processing. No images or extracted data are transmitted to or stored on our servers. All processing occurs entirely on your device.

2. How We Use Your Data

Data extracted by Rapport is used only to populate new entries in your device's address book, at your explicit request. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond digitising the business card you chose to scan.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

Rapport does not retain any data on our remote servers. All scanned contact data resides on your device. You may delete any contact created by Rapport at any time through your device's standard Contacts app. Uninstalling Rapport removes all App data from your device.

4. Permissions

• Camera: Used exclusively to photograph business cards for scanning within Rapport — Namecard Scanner. Not used for any other purpose. No background camera access is requested.
• Contacts: Used only to save scanned contact details to your address book when you explicitly choose to save. We do not read, copy, or process your existing contacts.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer any data collected by Rapport to any third party. The App contains no advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or third-party data processors.

6. Children's Privacy

Rapport — Namecard Scanner is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use of Rapport after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
